u2's bono owns superyacht named 'kingdom come'

Now U2 lead singer Bono (real name Paul David Hewson) is a guy who is very secretive about his superyacht lifestyle… Maybe he’s worried it will affect his charitable image, but its hard to hide owning a yacht… especially one that’s 198ft (60 metres).

Oh Bono, owning luxury yacht Kingdom Come (previously called Nara and Diana II) is nothing to be shy about! This classic Feadship yacht, built in 1979, is a beauty!

It turns out Bono couldn’t deal with being jealous about U2 guitarist The Edge’s superyacht Cyan much longer…

Bono was spotted in en route to Kingdom Come via tender this week as he holidayed with wife Ali Hewson and friends in St. Tropez, even fitting in a visit into the world-famous Pampelonne beach! Only rockstar Bono could wear all black in the sweltering French Riviera summer heat…

The Irish singer-songwriter summers near his home in Eze-sur-mer in France, and this summer hosted comic Sacha Baron Cohen and actress wife Isla Fisher and frontman of British indie band Oasis Noel Gallagher and his wife Sara! If the walls could talk, huh?

Check out this deck pic of Bono’s yacht Kingdom Come that I found after doing a little research!

Huge deck spaces would have been essential for a man like Bono when choosing a yacht to buy, so he can entertain all his celebrity friends in style – her jacuzzi is also a bonus! A large crew of 17 are on hand to pamper guests and keep the cocktails and fine dining flowing.

The singer has a rumored net worth of $900 million (not far off the billionaire’s club!) and is thought to have splashed the cash on this yacht in 2014. My sources also tell me she cost around €10 mill to buy (around $11.5 mill) after being on the market for around a year. The seller was hoping to get closer to €15 million for the yacht, so it looks like Bono got a good deal here with the previous owner (who owned her privately for 30yrs)!

He also renamed the yacht from Nara after its sale, which was last refit back in 2005.

Now for a look inside her traditional interior…

Think of the parties that have happened in here, her main salon!

A nautical-inspired master suite awaits Bono after a long day enjoying fine cuisine and saving the world. As many 26 guests can stay on board for luxury vacations across the globe, fit into his schedule of touring with U2.

Quite the bathroom is also found on board….

The yacht can reach a top speed of 19 knots (about 22mph!) , and cruises at a speed of around 16 knots. Stabilizers ensure smooth cruising for all on board…

Nice one Bono!
